Vegan singer Billie Eilish urged her 26 million Instagram followers to reconsider their meat and dairy consumption. This week, the singer posted a recently released video of horrific animal cruelty captured by Animal Recovery Mission (ARM) during an undercover investigation at Fair Oaks Farms—a dairy farm that supplies the Coca-Cola distributed Fairlife milk brand, which bills itself as a company that treats animals humanely. The four-minute clip—which ARM followed with two longer videos that are part of a larger investigation—depicts workers beating, stabbing, and mutilating calves and proves that Fairlife, despite its claims otherwise, sends its calves to veal slaughterhouses. “I keep my mouth shut most of the time about this because I believe everyone should do eat and say whatever they want … and I don’t feel the need to shove what I believe in, in anyone’s face,” Eilish wrote in conjunction with the video in an Instagram story. “But man … if you can watch the videos that I just posted and not give a f*ck that it’s you contributing by literally eating the creatures that are being fully tortured just for your pleasure, I feel sorry for you. I understand that meat tastes good … and I know you think you’re just one person and it won’t change anything if you stop but that’s ignorant and stupid. If you have half a brain, you should know ‘one person’ adds up. Be smarter.”

Nytimes: In a slow week, the teenage musician’s “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” had the equivalent of 62,000 sales.

After a period of confusion on last week’s Billboard album chart, when the top position largely came down to the validity of merchandise bundles, things have settled down a bit, and Billie Eilish returns the top spot for a third time with her debut album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” (Interscope).

Songs from “When We All Fall Asleep” were streamed almost 65 million times in the United States last week, and 13,000 copies of the full album were sold, according to Nielsen. That gave Eilish the equivalent of 62,000 album sales, according to the formula that Nielsen and Billboard now use to compare the various means of music consumption. In a slow week, that was enough for “When We All Fall Asleep” to rise two spots and notch its third No. 1 in nine weeks.

Last week’s official chart was delayed by several days while Billboard studied the deals used by the top contenders to promote their albums: Tyler, the Creator offered copies of “Igor” with T-shirts and lawn signs that he sold through his website, while DJ Khaled used energy drinks and supplements to push “Father of Asahd.” Tyler’s album — or maybe just his bundles? — won out.

If there is a race for second place, DJ Khaled won it this week, while “Igor” fell to No. 3. The Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo opened at No. 4 with “43va Heartless,” and Khalid is in fifth place with “Free Spirit.”

Also this week, the soundtrack to Disney’s new “Aladdin” opened at No. 6, while YG’s “4Real 4Real” started at No. 7. The K-pop group NCT 127 started at No. 11 with a six-song EP, “We Are Superhuman,” which had a modest streaming count — about 1.9 million — but sold 25,000 copies as a full package, more than any other title on this week’s chart.

Billie Eilish doesn’t want you to know whether or not she’s “slim thick.

I never want the world to know everything about me,” Eilish shares in the new #MyCalvin’s campaign titled “I Speak My Truth.” “I mean, that’s why I wear big baggy clothes. Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath.

Eilish is just one of the many stars to be a part of Calvin Klein’s new “I Speak My Truth” campaign. Launching today, May 9, the singer joins Alabama-born rapper Chika Oranika—who’s 2018 freestyle about Kanye West went viral and transformed her into a star—Noah Centineo, and Shawn Mendes, who debuted his shirt-less #MyCalvins underwear ad earlier this year, quenching the thirst of his die-hard fans’—and J. Lo’s (A-Rod chimed in, too), and mine, if we’re being quite honest.

As described by the brand, the new I Speak My Truth campaign “presents today’s most influential voices telling their own stories, in their own words – and invites others around the world to do the same.” In a series of videos directed by Jonas Lindstroem, each star in the campaign shares their personal truths through cheeky and emotional videos, including one where the internet’s usual goofy heartthrob, Noah Centineo, embraces his scars.

Starting today, Calvin Klein will roll out the campaign videos across their social platforms and encourage fans to speak their truth by using the hashtag #MyCalvins. Phase two of CK’s I Speak My Truth campaign will feature videos from A$AP Rocky, Bella Hadid, ELLE’s first transgender cover star Indya Moore, Kendall Jenner, Brockhampton’s Kevin Abstract, Troye Sivan, and Korean actor Yoo Ah-In.

That dude freaked the fuck out of me

Billie Eilish has admitted that she was “terrified” of Eminem while growing up.

The 17-year-old singer was speaking to Noisey when she explained how the rap icon used to be the stuff of nightmares for her.

When asked to choose her favourite rapper between Eminem and Childish Gambino, she admitted: ” I have to say Childish Gambino, one billion percent.

I was scared of Eminem my whole life,” she continued. “Terrified. That dude freaked the fuck out of me. Oh my god. But you know, Childish Gambino created me dude. I don’t even know, that’s crazy, that’s a god you can’t even put him in a list of other people.

The same question was then posed for Biggie and Tupac, with the ‘When The Party’s Over’ singer opting for the former.

Honestly Biggie. I feel like Tupac’s vibe is cooler. Biggie’s voice just feels like a big heavy warm blanket on you, which is probably what it feels like if he laid on top of you.”

DAILYMAIL: Her debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ has stormed to the top of the charts in 15 countries.
But on Thursday, Billie Eilish revealed to The Project the surprising reason she still records her music in her brother’s bedroom.
Currently on her Australian tour, Billie appeared humble as she said the arrangement was ‘working for them’ creativity.

‘It’s working for us, why change that?’ Billie said, when asked by co-host Waleed Aly why she hasn’t moved her creative process to a professional studio.

Billie’s brother Finneas O’Connell is also a music producer, with the siblings working on a number of songs together.

‘If it’s not broken, why fix it? Coz there’s nothing to fix. You know. We started making music in his room which is nine feet wide in both directions.’

‘It’s worked, and it’s been working. So why not do that. It’s raw and it’s real that we are both completely proud of. That we love.’

The Ocean Eyes singer went on to speak about how fame has affected her, saying she wishes that it had a ‘pause’ button.

Speaking of her newfound fame, she said: ‘I don’t think I would change anything. I just wish their was a way to press a button and it would stop.’

She continued: ‘But then you could press the same button and it would come back, you know. I never want it to go away. I don’t want to change anything.’

She finished: ‘I just want to pause.’

A global sensation, Billie has managed to hit more than one billion streams on Spotify and is regarded as an up-and-coming superstar.

It comes after Billie had a ‘groping’ incident during her Australian tour, following a meet and greet at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Tuesday night.

The teenage sensation took to Instagram to express her discomfort and discuss boundaries after one fan accidentally touched her without consent.

‘Please don’t grap my boobs. [I] keep playing this s*** cool but it is very much not (sic),’ wrote Billie on Wednesday morning, in a now deleted post.

Billie continued: ‘I think what happened last night was just an accident so I acted like I didn’t notice cuz I didn’t wanna make her feel bad if she didn’t mean to do it. But if that s*** was [for real] I’m gone.’

‘Please don’t harass the girl. It was just an accident and not that big a deal. She was very very sweet,’ added Billie.

‘I was just saying in general about certain things that I don’t feel comfortable with. It’s not a big deal.’
