The singer was speaking on her Apple Music show me & dad radio, where she updated her current playlist with J Hus’ ‘Did You See’ (which Eilish described as one of her “favourite songs”) and Not3s’ ‘Addison Lee (Peng Ting Called Madison)’.
“My dad has introduced me to some of my favourite songs ever,” Eilish said during the show. “I really wanted to show the world that a lot of my taste comes from stuff my dad has shown me over the years.
“I love J Hus,” she continued. “He was, like, the first of the UK rappers that I was introduced to, thanks to my dad.” The singer also expressed her admiration for J Hus’ producer JAE5.
Speaking about Not3s‘ ‘Addison Lee’, Billie said: “This was my first introduction to Not3s; Not3s with a three, the homie.
“Dad didn’t know what an Addison Lee was. Dad didn’t even realise it was a car. Dad said, ‘Peng ting, cold medicine, cold medicine.’ I love Not3s! He’s a sweetheart, too.”
Billie’s dad then added: “For those of you who don’t know, ‘peng ting’ is a hot number, a hot girl.”

Billie Eilish has been having a productive quarantine.
The singer discussed recording new music and fostering dogs in a recent interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe.
“I know that everybody, like the beginning of this really got to people,” Eilish said. “I didn’t really have that experience because I cheated. I rescued two puppies, or fostered two puppies. I was completely distracted.”
She continued, “We’ve been in the ‘stu,’ which just means Finneas’ basement, basically. We actually, we wrote a whole song in its entirety—an entire song, which is kind of rare for us. I really love it. It was like exactly what I needed to say when we wrote it.”
While she misses touring and performing, saying “that feeling does not exist anywhere else,” she’s trying to remain hopeful during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Honestly, I feel great,” she said. “The song I was talking about earlier that we wrote a couple weeks ago that felt so right was … I wish I could sing it for you, but I can’t. It was just about, there was this part in it—I needed to say this—which was I know I’m supposed to feel unhappy right now because of this break and because I’m not seeing anybody … I feel like there’s this kind of thing that I feel like is floating around of like you’re supposed to be missing people. You’re supposed to be missing this person and be missing people in general. I kind of have this feeling of like, I miss my really close friends, I miss people, of course I do, but I also at the same time am liking the space.”
She added, “I’m liking that everybody can kind of grow right now. I hope that people are letting themselves grow instead of just reminiscing and wishing they were with other people.”
She also talked about launching her father-daughter Apple Music show, Me & Dad Radio, which debuted on May 8.
Bono is celebrating his 60th birthday. To commemorate the occasion, the U2 frontman has shared a playlist called ’60 Songs That Saved My Life’.
“These are some of the songs that saved my life,’ Bono shared of the playlist. “The ones I couldn’t have lived without… the ones that got me from there to here, zero to 60… through all the scrapes, all manner of nuisance, from the serious to the silly… and the joy, mostly joy.’”
The playlist features tracks by a bunch of the most iconic musicians in history, like the Beatles, Patti Smith, Kanye West, Daft Punk, David Bowie, Nirvana, Massive Attack, Iggy Pop, Arcade Fire, Jay Z, Kraftwerk, Public Enemy, and more. Bono also gave a nod to dark pop wunderkind Billie Eilish and her brother and co-conspirator, FINNEAS.
In accompaniment to the playlist, Bono took the time to write a letter to each artist behind the music. In an Instagram post, Bono sung the praises of Eilish’s WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? track ‘everything i wanted’.
Dear Billie (Finneas too), he wrote.
My ears long for such empty spaces to wander… to sneak away from the density of digital surfaces with too much information… I step inside your song and it’s a black beauty, achingly awesomely vulnerable and terrifying, fearless and worrisome… but you are not worried by all that. You express it so you can own the feeling that nags.
I think of Carole King. I think of Roy Orbison.
But just like them, this never existed before you did.
To be compared to songwriting greats Carole King and Roy Orbinson is nothing to sneeze at.
Billie Eilish has been keeping fairly quiet on social media since the COVID-19 crisis started and stay-at-home orders were put into effect. That being said, the Bad Guy singer has been giving her fans glimpses here and there of what she’s been up to. For instance, she recently revealed that she’s working on an Apple Music show with her dad. And other than that, she’s been staying busy at home with two foster puppies — one of which made an adorable appearance in a new selfie on the singer’s Instagram Story.
While Eilish hasn’t been sharing many selfies lately, this one was simply too precious not to post. In it, she appears to be relaxing in bed with her hair tied up in a bun, and one of the puppies is nuzzled against her neck, sleeping soundly. Cute doesn’t even begin to cover it. What’s more: Being beauty buffs, we couldn’t help but notice that the wunderkind’s famous neon roots are still intact, which is pretty impressive considering it’s been quite some time since she’s been able to see a professional colorist.
It’s definitely possible that Eilish has been tending to her roots on her own with an at-home dye, such as Manic Panic’s Classic High Voltage Hair Color in the shade Electric Lizard, which is very similar to the vibrant, slime-green hue that her roots have been since last year.
Of course, it’s impossible to know for sure how the singer is keeping up with her hair color while self-isolating at home, but one thing is for sure: She’s making it work.
