Billie Eilish is letting people know she’s sick and tired of being told what to wear with a sassy clap back on Instagram. Billie Eilish has clapped back on Instagram with a seriously sassy caption after being repeatedly told to stop wearing baggy clothes, saying she’s tired of the comments and urged people to find something else to talk about.
She captioned her latest snap of her in a graffiti painted tracksuit, with her ankle boot from a recent sprain proudly on display: “If only I dressed normal I’d be so much hotter yeah yeah come up with a better comment I’m tired of that one.” The 17-year-old’s been vocal in the past about purposefully wearing baggy clothing in order to prevent people form having any kind of opinion on her body and is understandably sick of people having an opinion on her appearance. Demi Lovato, who has also been sticking a middle finger up to trolls by posting unedited bikini snaps to her Instagram stepped in to defend the fellow popstar, telling her to ‘f*** the haters’, and it’s seriously a pop duo we didn’t know we needed. Fans let the singer know the reason they love her is her individuality and that she looks ‘hot’ in anything, they’ve also repeatedly pointed out that she is a minor and the sexualisation of her image is wrong. They hit out at someone who got a photo with the ‘Bad Guy’ singer with her hoodie unzipped an captioned the pic, ‘Billie Eilish is thiccc’, with one fan tweeting, “I love that we all SNAPPED on that post where someone called Billie Eilish thicc.” Source: CapitalFM.Com.
Billie Eilish has slammed critics for their negative comments on her fashion style.
The 17-year-old singer took to Instagram to share an image of her wearing a baggy, colorful, print-heavy outfit—her trademark style—alongside the caption, “If only I dressed normal id be so much hotter yeah yeah come up with a better comment I’m tired of that one.”
Eilish has been trolled before for the way she dresses. In a recent interview with Elle, she explained why she only wears certain types of clothing. “The point is not: Hey, let’s go slut-shame all these girls for not dressing like Billie Eilish. It makes me mad. I have to wear a big shirt for you not to feel uncomfortable about my boobs!”
More trolls came for her in June, when a photo of her in a tank top went viral. Before a show in Nashville, Eilish had gotten off her bus in the tank top to greet fans outside and someone snapped a picture. “My boobs were trending on Twitter!” she told Elle. “At number one! What is that?! Every outlet wrote about my boobs!”
In May, Eilish opened up about her public-facing image and her clothing choices in an ad for Calvin Klein. In the campaign, “I Speak My Truth in #MyCalvins,” she said, “I never want the world to know everything about me,” adding, “That’s why I wear big, baggy clothes. Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath.”
The parody of Billie Eilish’s monster hit “Bad Guy” is here and it’s abundantly clear that this was one bop ripe for the ol’ dad-ode treatment.
Eilish officially dethroned Lil Nas X at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the hypnotic “Bad Guy,” effectively putting Lil Nas’ uninterrupted 19-week “Old Town Road” streak to rest. That makes her the first musician born in this century to snag the top spot.
On Wednesday, reddit user r/FunkTurkey shared his take of Eillish’s attitude-filled hit with a video in the vein of Weird Al.
“White shirt/now red/that’s taco sauce/eating/just sitting on my phone,” the music video begins, and it only gets more relatable for dads from there. The low-budget video sees a father living that dad life. One beautiful mundane thing to note: He wears one pair of sneakers. And he wears them to everything. Respect.
The chorus hews very close to the source material in sound if not in spirit. And one thing is obvious: A father jogging to goth trap never looked so good.
The ‘bad guy’ hitmaker has remained coy when asked about her relationships, admitting she was “in love” with someone else but isn’t any more
She said: “I was in love, [but] not at the moment. I’m in love with her. Me.”
And the 17-year-old singer has also opened up about her love for her fans.
Speaking to 3Voor12, she added: “I used to do shows and like just walk off stage into the audience and meet everyone. I can’t do that anymore which is normal, but it is like as much as there are amazing, precious, incredible fans that just want the best for you and just want to be happy with you and want you to be happy. There are people that are crazy – and not even fans – just people that are out there and just want to grab you and get you.”
Billie previously spoke candidly about her struggles with mental health.
She said: “[At 13] was probably when I was the most insecure. I wasn’t as confident. I couldn’t speak and just be normal. When I think about it or see pictures of me then, I was so not OK with who I was. At dance, you wear really tiny clothes.
“And I’ve never felt comfortable in really tiny clothes. I was always worried about my appearance. That was the peak of my body dysmorphia. I couldn’t look in the mirror at all. Basically, before you’re 16, the cartilage in your hip isn’t firm yet. It’s still growing. I was in a hip-hop class with all the seniors, the most advanced level.”
Billie Eilish‘s new line of merch has been accused of plagiarism.
Earlier this week, the “Bury a Friend” singer announced she teamed up with Siberia Hills for an anime merch collection, which includes just one hoodie and one T-shirt. The clothing comes in both black and white and feature a group of bikini-clad anime characters over the Japanese spelling of Eilish’s name.
However, when the pop star’s team unveiled the new collection on August 7, people were quick to point out the characters resembled another artist’s work. Many users recognized the character Nozomi Tojo from the anime series Love Live!, however, the website AnimeNewsNetwork.com reports the fan art belongs to artist Makoto Kurokawa.
Eilish, her team nor her fashion collaborators have responded to the plagiarism accusations, but fans have been calling her out via Twitter, with some tweeting that this is “peak 2019.”
Meanwhile, others hope the artist has been compensated for their work even though technically neither should be profiting since the artwork is based on a licensed character.
This isn’t the first time Eilish has dealt with plagiarism allegations. Back in April, Dave Meyers, the director of her “Bad Guy” music video, was accused of using another’s person’s art without permission. On Reddit, fans speculated whether the idea behind the video, which featured specific imagery like disembodied heads in goldfish bags, was inspired by the photographers Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari.
Neither Meyers nor Eilish ever publicly responded to the accusations.
Billie Eilish keeps staying in the headlines and for incredible reasons. The 17-year-old phenom joins incredible company today by becoming just the third female solo artist in history to have multiple No. 1 alternative singles.
According to Billboard, Eilish’s “bad guy” topped the alt charts this week, joining “bury a friend” which led the charts back in May. Both singles come from her debut LP WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?
Eilish joins Alanis Morissette and Sinead O’Connor who have claimed three and two No.1’s, respectively in the 31-year history of the list.
“O’Connor led with “Nothing Compares 2 U” (for a week in March 1990) and follow-up “The Emperor’s New Clothes” (a week that May)” states Billboard. “Morissette followed with three No. 1s, currently the mark for the most Alternative Songs leaders for a solo woman: “You Oughta Know” (five weeks beginning in July 1995), “Hand in My Pocket” (a week that October) and “Ironic” (three weeks in March 1996).
At just 17 years old, Eilish is the youngest to accomplish this feat. While the fame can certainly be difficult to deal with, especially at the superstardom level Eilish is, “bad guy” is currently No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for the eighth week.
Eilish is currently touring and blowing everyone away with her talent. You can buy tickets for her remaining performances here.

During her recent tour, Billie has been spotted wearing her signature oversize hoodies, and Hypebae reported that fans can now get their hands on a Billie-inspired hoodie of their own. For her latest collab, the singer teamed up with Siberia Hills, a European brand known for its streetwear, to create three new pieces, including two hoodies and a T-shirt.
This latest Billie-designed drop is available for pre-order on her website; the tee goes for $35 and the hoodies for $65. For the launch, you can choose from a black or white hoodie that features an animated design on the front. Pay close attention to the detailing, because its sleeves feature a detailing of “Billie” and “Siberia Hills.” The shirt, which is black, features the same red-hued design as its hoodie counterpart, and the sleeves also include the same stitched nod to its creators.
At this point, your entire life could be filled with items designed and inspired by Billie. These latest pieces arrive after she unveiled a colorful collection with Freak City. As an added bonus, you could even show your support for Billie with a doll inspired by the star. And don’t worry, because her online merch store still contains previously released items that include a slime mask, beanies, and socks.
Billie Eilish, the 17-year-old who has quickly become one of today’s most powerful pop artists, has never been afriad of being candid about her personal struggles.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the “Bad Guy” musician opened up about her battle with body dysmorphia. Speaking at length, the singer, who was an avid dancer for years, discussed how it all started with the “really pretty girls” at school. “That was probably when I was the most insecure,” she said. “I wasn’t as confident. I couldn’t speak and just be normal. When I think about it or see pictures of me then, I was so not OK with who I was.”
It was also when Eilish, who almost always appears in over sized clothing, started feeling self-conscious about her body. “At dance, you wear really tiny clothes,” she said. “And I’ve never felt comfortable in really tiny clothes. I was always worried about my appearance. That was the peak of my body dysmorphia. I couldn’t look in the mirror at all.”
Studies indicate that body dysmorphia affects more than than five million people to nearly 10 million people in the United States alone, making it nearly as or even more common than obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
The increasingly rigid beauty standards and rise of social media has further contributed to the disorder making young women more conscious of their appearance than ever.
Eilish, who is also a mental health advocate, also opened up about dealing with depression and self-harm after a dance injury caused her to quit dance altogether.
“I think that’s when the depression started,” she said. “It sent me down a hole. I went through a whole self-harming phase — we don’t have to go into it. But the gist of it was, I felt like I deserved to be in pain. When anyone else thinks about Billie Eilish at 14, they think of all the good things that happened. But all I can think of is how miserable I was. How completely distraught and confused. Thirteen to 16 was pretty rough.”
Camila Cabello’s sister still fangirls after seeing her favorite artists and she TOTALLY freaked out when she met Billie Eilish.
Of course, we totally can’t blame her and Billie has been killing it on the charts and taking over our playlists ever since she first burst on the scene with her song “Ocean Eyes” on SoundCloud. While Camila’s sister, Sofia, might have been super cool when she met Taylor Swift and Shawn Mendes, she couldn’t control herself when she met Billie.
“My sister actually cried when she met Billie Eilish,” Camila told Variety. “My sister has never cried meeting anybody. She’s met Taylor [Swift], my sister’s met everybody, and she literally, fully had tears running down her face. She 100 percent likes her more than she likes me.”
It looks like Sofia might get used to seeing Billie around, specially since her and Camila seem pretty close. Camila also couldn’t stop gushing about Billie and her music. They recently hung out early last month and posed for a cute photo together.
“I like the emo stuff; it feels exciting and different. I think her music is so amazing. I also met her in person and she was so sweet — she looks like such a genuine person.”
Camila is also working with Billie’s brother, Finneas, for a new song on her next album.
“He just has this taste, that I think Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift have, where it’s like he loves the really delicate details of things,” Camila said. “Those are the things that really pull his heart strings. … I think [Billie] and Finneas [creating] together is so sick. You feel in your body that it’s different. Like the intention isn’t to make a radio hit, it’s just making something cool.”
Hopefully this means we’re one step closer to getting a collab from these two music queens.
